Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Vethathiri Maharishi was very much traditionally influenced by the Siddha tradition, which was very much prevalent in Tamilnadu. Vethathiri used their notations as hand maids for his
philosophical quest. The Kundalini yoga system, which
is modified by Vethathiri was fundamentally belonging
to the Siddha tradition. He had also found their medical
system and also the secret Yoga techniques like Kayakalpa Yoga. He had understood the need of having longevity for the physical body and he clearly understood that the wisdom and Divine spirit is present only through the body. The Thirumandira yoga of Thirumoolar made him to think. He had compared Shiva yoga, Kundalini Yoga and Thirumandira yoga of the Siddha tradition. He concluded that the life with austerities as led by the siddhas cannot be led in this contemporary world. Maharishi always insisted to get married and live a happy and prosperous yogic life. Since the siddhas achieved the ultimate even by leading a family life, it made Maharishi also to follow the same path. Any how he had made the siddha tradition as his foundation to realize the never changeable cosmic values for a Spiritual achievement. “Tamil Nadu was the main
region of activity of the siddhas and their culture has been
nherited by us. The time has come to spread the philosophy of the Siddhas to the rest of the world and this duty has been cast upon the World Community Service Centre. This study is an effort to find out how Vethathiri Maharishi was influenced by the Siddha philosophy.

Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The present study is aimed to find out the relationship between academic stress and coping strategies among higher secondary
students. Survey method was adopted for the study. A
sample of 1000 higher secondary students was selected for this study in Chennai by using stratified random sampling technique. Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient was used for data collection. Results showed that there is no significant difference in academic stress of higher secondary students with regard to medium of instruction, type of school management, and monthly income of parents; there is significant difference in
coping strategies of higher secondary students in terms of monthly income of parents; and there is no significant difference in coping strategies of higher secondary students with regard to medium of instruction and type of school management. Finding also indicated that there is positive relationship between academic stress and coping strategies of higher secondary students. |

Author : Mr. Saleem Ahmed and Dr. Prasamita Mohanty |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :The present study was embraced to research Value pattern between Government and Private school students. Value pattern was dealt with asdependent variable while Government and Private school were dealt with asindependent. Descriptive
survey method was utilized for the presentstudy. An
example of 100 secondary school students considering
in 10th class in District Jodhpur was chosen through
random sampling method.Personal Values Questionnaire (P.V.Q.) (1978) Devised by Sherry and Verma. Would be utilized value Pattern of students. There are total 40 questions and questions are to be answered in Right or Wrong. Measurable strategieslike Mean, S.D. furthermore, t-test were utilized to discover the distinction of Value pattern between Government and Private school understudies. The findingsof the investigation uncovered that female understudies are observed to be moresincerely wise than male understudies. |

SAMADHI: IS IT A PSYCHOLOGICAL TRUTH OR PHILOSOPHICAL TRUTH? |
Author : P. Dhanapathi |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Samadhi is a state of deep meditative contemplation which leads to higher consciousness. The study here focuses on understanding the concept ‘Samadhi’ and its nature.
The study also aims at finding whether ‘Samadhi’ is just
a philosophical truth or it is psychological truth. This is
based on the speculations that whether Samadhi is the
one which is assumed and understood only by logic and
reason as metaphysical entity or it is a state of
Consciousness which may be attained by man This
study also includes probing by taking the interpretations deliberated in Samkhya-Yoga, Integral yoga, and Simplified Kundalini Yoga (SKY). Samadhi means ‘becoming equal to primordial or Brahmam’, according to Vethathiri Maharishi. He reveals that it is not a coma state, but mind will be in complete awareness and the same is appreciated as yoga siddhi. Thus, the state of Samadhi seems to be understood as Psychological truth and Brahmam as Philosophical truth. In SKY, the means
to attain Samadhi is Thuriatheetha meditation. Samadhi is not the end of life, but it is beginning of peaceful, happy and satisfied life. |

GLOBALISATION AND THE CHALLENGE FOR THE DEVELOPING NATIONS |
Author : Prof. Urvashi |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :Globalization can be defined as a system of interaction or increasing global relationships between cultures, people, and economic activities among the countries of the world.
Globalization in its simpler form refers to conglomerate exchange of languages, ideas, and cultures. Behaviour
or impacts of Globalization differ from country to country having a demarcation between developed countries like Britain and developing countries. Some critics allege that it has been footing down the cultural values and increasing conflicts between two nations. Globalization is a double-edged sword as it impacts and affects all generations of people, economically politically, environmentally, and culturally. While Globalization has its benefits-millions of people around the world are now more empowered because of global interconnectedness-there are still many problems that can and already have risen from cultural and economic development around the world. |

SYNTHESIS AND CHARACTRISATION OF SOLUBLE AROMATIC POLYIMIDES FROM 2,5 BIS [(3-AMINO PHENYL) 4-BENZAMIDE] 3,4 DIPHENYLTHIOPHENE AND POLYIMIDES THEREFROM |
Author : P. H. Basutkar |
Abstract | Full Text |
Abstract :A novel aromatic diamine namely 2,5-bis(3aminophenyl)-3, 4-
diphenylthiophene (X) was synthesized and characterized by
technique such as, IR,NMR, and mass spectroscopy. A new series of aromatic polyimides was synthesized by low temperature solution condensation of (X) with aromatic dianhydrides. The copolyimides were also prepared from diamine (X) and PMDA and BTDA in different mole proportion under similar experimental conditions. The viscosities of polyimides were in the range from 0.41-0.99 dL/g. The polymers were also characterized by IR spectroscopy, solubility tests, and thermal properties. The polyimides and Co-polyimides obtained are soluble in amide type solvents. These polyimides showed initial decomposition temperature (To) in the range of 516-5400C in nitrogen atmosphere indicating high thermal stability. |
